About The Minimal Setup

Most people don’t have a clutter problem. They have a bad recommendations problem.

The internet is full of “best of” lists that recommend twenty products, half of which are sponsored, a third of which are outdated, and none of which were ever actually used by the person writing about them.

The Minimal Setup exists because of that frustration.

This site was built on one simple principle — if something does not genuinely earn its place in a clean, functional home or desk setup, it does not get recommended here. No filler. No padding. No products included just because they pay a higher commission.

What you will find here:

Every recommendation on this site falls into one of three categories — smart home tech that actually works, desk and home office setups worth building, and Amazon finds that belong in a minimal space. Nothing outside that. Nothing just to fill a page.

How recommendations are made:

Products are researched thoroughly before appearing here. That means reading verified buyer reviews, comparing specifications, checking long-term reliability reports, and asking one simple question — does this belong in a space where everything earns its place?

If the answer is yes, it gets recommended. If not, it gets skipped regardless of how popular or profitable it might be.

A note on affiliate links:

Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning a small commission is earned if you purchase through them — at no extra cost to you. This is how the site stays free to run. It never influences what gets recommended. You can read the full disclosure here.

Welcome to The Minimal Setup. Everything here earned its place.
